Sometimes its really hard to keep up with this silly 'ole blog. Sometimes its hard to find inspiration or to offer a post that isn't just one long evil rant. Yet nowadays it feels like time is always short and things are 'slipping through my fingers.' The due date for the baby looms larger and larger. My weekly preggo email from BabyCenter informed me that I have 70 days to go. I am trying to feel grounded and think that 70 days gives me plenty of time to prepare anything and everything for this monumental change...but it ain't gonna be. The type-A, anal planner in me is just going to have to take a fatty chill pill. The entire notion of the baby arriving when he or she is also a bit unnerving. They tell you your due date but then tell you that it is "plus or minus two weeks." Essentially, between July 30 and August 27 I could go into labor. That's a heck of a timeframe for someone who oftentimes has every minute of her day planned out. Oof. In an attempt to release myself into the joyful unknown of child birth and becoming a mom, I have made a number of resolutions:
1. I will not accept any more work or projects albeit work or volunteer related (for any future mothers: do not volunteer to run a county commissioner campaign while you are preggo)
2. I will return to an earlier resolution and practice yoga regularly, go on long walks and participate in any other activity that will channel stress and prepare for hours of labor
3. I will not fixate on the growing number of physical discomforts. I will stay centered. I will stay sane...I will! I will!
As I write this, BabyG is doing backflips in my belly so perhaps this is his/her hearty endorsement of my resolutions. Or maybe he/she is craving ice cream...Hmm. Ice cream. Gotta go.

You're going to do great. You ran a freaking half marathon at 4 months. Your delivery will be ridiculous-- if there is a World Record in speed delivery, I bet you'll shatter it. Healthy BabyG and all. Eat as much ice cream and bitch about being uncomfortable all you want. THERE IS A PERSON INSIDE YOU. Carte blanche to do whatever the hell you want.
thanks for the words of encouragement...a carte blanche, however, could be very dangerous to relationships and food supplies in the Roaring Fork Valley
