As I was driving into work this morning, a baby blue pickup truck passed me with the bumper sticker:
My kid fucked your honor student
I sped up to re-read the sticker as I was shocked that someone would a) drop the F-bomb on a bumper sticker and b) change what is generally a cliched bumper sticker into a vulgar statement. Not only did I reconfirm the sticker, I was able to read another sticker:
G_F_ck_Y__rs_lf
You fill in the vowels
Perhaps a looming 30th birthday and being pregnant are making me more conservative. But are those really appropriate bumper stickers to have on your car? At first I was angry and then I just got sad thinking about the type of person who owns that car. I mean, they truly must have a lot of anger in their lives to put those kind of stickers on their car. Driving over the bridge into town, I noticed others were doing 'double takes' of the stickers as well.
Am I out of line here, folks? Are these vulgar and tasteless? Or is it just me?

Inappropriate in that it definitely says something negative about the driver, but that's the driver's problem, not yours. Hooray First Amendment. In other news, your baby claendar-thing freaked me the F out this morning. YOU ARE ALMOST HALFWAY PREGNANT! Well, halfway to your due date. You know what i mean. That is just crazy! Glad you are feeling better.
This is probably the kind of person that finds beating up people to be a hilarious pasttime.
I completely agree with you that the First Amendment is a great thing. But couldn't we come up with a 'counter'? Like, find the truck and paint pretty, happy flowers all over it?
